Our Projects and Priorities

The geologic history, fire events, and human usage of the Bluff have shaped the way the area appears today.

In 2011, the newly formed Friends of the Bluff group decided on the following priorities for holistic management of the Park.

   1. Sustainable Trails

   2. Forest Health and Fire Risk Reduction

   3. Weed Management

   4. Litter Removal

   5. Protection from Development

Following the building of an illegal road above Hangman Creek in April 2017, damage remediation became a key priority until the fragile bluff was returned to its former natural state.
