“Opt Outside” Bluff Walk with Friends of the Bluff's Vice President, Greg MacDonald

Come explore the trail along Hangman Creek with Friends of the Bluff's Vice President, Greg MacDonald. 

You will see efforts to reduce fuels, hear about fire in the natural ecosystem, see some very old Ponderosa pines, talk about geology and the Ice Age Floods, and discover good wildlife watching spots for eagles, ospreys, herons, owls, and otters. 

At most, the hike will be about 2 1/2 miles of fairly level walking, but be aware that there are steep downhill drop-offs along the creek section of the trail. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a hiking staff if preferred. The hike will likely last 2-3 hours.
