Trail Maintenance

Trails are how people access the Bluff – so it’s logical that they were chosen as the top priority by the group.

Currently, there are over 30 miles of trails in the Park.

The steep topography of the Bluff, coupled with the fragile, sandy soil deposited on the hillside by ice-age floods, make building and maintaining sustainable trails especially challenging.

Trail users are encouraged to participate in trail maintenance events.

Master Trail Plan

The Friends of the Bluff group is in the process of developing a Master Trail Plan for the area. Your input into the process is welcome!

If you have ideas for specific sections of trail that need maintenance, or trails that should be removed from or added to the system, please contact us. If you have GPS coordinates for the area in question, please include them.

Click to read about possible new trail access at 44th and Scott, near the Rocket Market.
